Brian Flynn, Owner / Hospital Administrator
Brian is a 2003 graduate from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science degree and an accredited business manager. He has been a search and rescue K9 handler for more than 20 years and now volunteers locally as a discipline director to teach others in the SAR community. Like many of us, Brian had an early start with his love for animals and all things regarding science and nature. His presence here is the culmination of that passion for the animal kingdom and his history of professional business management. The Flynn household is full of furry ones with their German Shepherd – Gunnar, Golden Retriever – Journey, Cattle Dog – River and Orange Tabby – Tuffy Tiger, who thinks he’s a dog!
Stephanie Smothers, DVM
Dr. Stephanie Smothers grew up in Grapevine, TX. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with a double-major in Entomology and Biomedical Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her and her husband Tyler have expanded the family beyond just the furry ones in 2020. Welcome baby Paxton to the world! Dr. Stephanie is looking forward to meeting you with your furry family, providing care for them as if they were her own.
Her special interests include: preventative medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Jen Lukowski, DVM
Dr. Lukowski joined The Vet House in December of 2020. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She is originally from Chicago, IL but moved to Dallas in 2014 to be closer to her 2 young nieces. Her veterinary interests are internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and nutrition. Dr. Lukowski is especially fond of felines and has two of her own named Stewie and Harry Potter. She also has a chihuahua named Dobby and a guinea pig named Oliver. When not busy with work, Dr. Lukowski likes to spend time with her nieces, travel, hike, go antiquing and spend time at the beach. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).

Herman Swann DVM
Dr. Swann graduated from Texas A & M University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree on August 2, 1968, with honors. He passed his State Board of Veterinary Medicine Examiners on September 6, 1968. He was also featured in D Magazine for “The Best Vets in Dallas” twice, once in June 2001 and the other in June 2004. Dr. Swann founded his first Veterinary practice in 1976.
Dr. Swann has reduced his hours now and spending more time with family and traveling.
